Happy Valentine's Day, Reader!

Valentine's Day is a celebration of love in all its forms, so let's take a moment to honor and uplift our LGBTQ+ youth, who embody the true spirit of love and authenticity. Here are five reasons why I love my queer kids, and why supporting them means the world:

1. Authenticity: Our LGBTQ+ youth teach us the beauty of embracing one's true self unapologetically. They inspire us to live authentically and remind us that love knows no bounds.
2. Strength: Despite facing societal challenges, our queer youth demonstrate remarkable strength in navigating their identities. Their resilience in the face of adversity is both humbling and empowering.
3. Creativity: LGBTQ+ youth often bring unique perspectives and creativity to the table. Their diverse experiences enrich our communities and contribute to a more vibrant, inclusive culture.
4. Empathy: Many LGBTQ+ youth possess an innate understanding of empathy and compassion, having walked a path of self-discovery and acceptance. Their ability to empathize with others fosters a sense of belonging and understanding within our community.
5. Courage: Coming out and living openly as LGBTQ+ requires immense courage. I am continually inspired by the bravery of our queer youth as they navigate their identities with courage and grace.

And here are five reasons why I love being a parent educator and coach to parents of LGBTQ+ youth:

1. Empowerment: Being able to empower parents with knowledge and resources to support their LGBTQ+ children fills me with purpose and joy.
2. Building Understanding: Helping parents understand their child's journey and providing them with tools to navigate challenges fosters deeper understanding and acceptance within families and communities.
3. Creating Safe Spaces: Guiding parents in creating safe and affirming environments at home ensures that LGBTQ+ youth feel loved, supported, and celebrated for who they are.
4. Fostering Connection: Facilitating connections between parents of LGBTQ+ youth fosters a sense of community and solidarity, providing invaluable support and encouragement.
5. Making a Difference: Seeing the positive impact of my work in helping families thrive and witnessing the growth and happiness of LGBTQ+ youth and their parents brings me immense fulfillment.

Together, let's continue to celebrate and support our LGBTQ+ youth, creating a future where love, acceptance, and equality prevail.
